Six Years as a FEO Service Excellence Award Winner

Modu-Loc is proud to be a Service Excellence Award winner in the 2021 Festivals & Events Ontario Awards program! This marks our sixth consecutive year as a winner in the Festivals & Events Ontario Awards program.

This year’s Service Excellence Awards recognized event suppliers who adapted, pivoted, and evolved to survive and thrive despite the impact of the global pandemic last year. As the top temporary fence supplier to the events industry, Modu-Loc was deeply affected by the loss of in-person events due to COVID-19 restrictions. Like many event suppliers and organizers, we were forced to adapt our approach in order to offset this loss.

Thankfully, we were able to pivot to focus on new applications for our fence related to social distancing and COVID-19 prevention measures. These included retail queues, curbside pick-up areas, enclosures for public parks and outdoor amenities, visitation areas for nursing homes, and hospital overflow areas. In addition, restaurants across the country were allowed to expand their patios to accommodate outdoor dining, creating another sizeable opportunity for Modu-Loc.

We’re proud to report that we still found ways to continue to work with events this year, although they certainly looked very different. We were the fence supplier of choice to create routes for many drive-through events in Ontario and across Canada, including Polar Drive – Canada’s only multi-level drive-through experience, which was located at Pearson International Airport in Toronto.

Another major opportunity was created by the NHL playoffs. Thanks to our crowd control expertise and our excellent relationships with members of the events industry, we were contracted to create the playoff “bubbles” in Edmonton and Toronto.

We wish to thank our amazing crews across Ontario for stepping up to help us remain resilient in the face of unimaginable challenges. We could not have succeeded without you!

Congratulations to the other winners in this year’s awards program. Learn more about the Service Excellence Award winners in the video below.
