Position Function

This is a front-line position providing exceptional customer service to clients over the phone, in person and electronically, as well as a crucial support position providing administrative support to the outside sales team. This position reports directly to the VP of Sales, and the South Western Ontario Operations Manager.

Working Relationships

The position interacts directly with clients, Modu-Loc’s national administration team, sales and operational staff.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Exemplify Modu-Loc’s core values in all dealings with customers and co-workers
  • Acquire and maintain a full understanding of Modu-Loc’s key products and services so as to effectively present these to inbound customers and provide the best customer service possible
  • Process customer orders efficiently and accurately
  • Provide administrative support for the outside sales team, including but not limited to: emailing quotations and sales brochures on their behalf, setting up customer accounts, providing invoices and statements, creating reservations, etc.
  • Track customer payments for order fulfillment
  • Handle client requests for invoices, receipts, and billing queries on a timely basis
  • Address and resolve customer issues and complaints effectively, calmly and on a timely basis
  • Work closely with the operations team to organize and schedule orders accordingly, and resolve scheduling conflicts and operational on-site issues
  • Perform various accounts receivable duties, including credit card declines and collections
  • Reply to emails in a timely manner and work independently on a daily basis
  • Answer incoming calls

Requirements:

  • Work in the office five (5) days per week (40 hours) during regular business hours (9am to 5pm)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both oral and written
  • Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Keen attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to deal with multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook

Depot Supervisor – Aldergrove, BC

Job Description

Reporting to the Vancouver Operations Manager, the Aldergrove Depot Supervisor is in charge of all day-to-day tasks associated with scheduling deliveries in a safe and efficient manner. This includes planned vehicle maintenance, shipping/receiving, record keeping, safety compliance, inventory control, planning and working closely with drivers, and employees in the operation team.

This role will require an individual that can assist with ensuring the Aldergrove Depot maintains its “Modu-Loc Way” atmosphere, promote employee engagement, and assist with on-boarding and disciplinary actions. The individual should be a team player who can take charge of situations and follow policies stated in the Modu-Loc employee handbook. The individual will be required to promote our company core values throughout the team, and exemplify team members who embody them.

This is a supervisor position that requires a self-motivated and dedicated individual. We are a business that is heavily influenced by the seasons, and this job requires the right individual who inherently knows when to switch gears and put in the extra effort as needed. We are looking for candidates with some knowledge of management with a willingness to learn combined with excellent customer service skills. As well, strong mechanical and interpersonal skills are required along with a basic understanding of current CVSE regulations.

Job Qualifications

  • Some experience with direct supervision over a crew or team of employees
  • Good mechanical and problem-solving skills
  • Heavy machinery operation – fork lifts, trucks
  • Available to help after hours, on weekends and holidays during busy periods
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to do physical work as required; able and willing to get hands dirty to get the job done
  • Knowledge of CVSE rules and regulations, safety requirements in the warehouse and on job sites is a must
  • Ability to host lunchbox safety meetings
  • Ability to “rally the troops”, work shoulder-to-shoulder as required, and act as a leader and mentor for all field and shop staff
  • Ability to perform inventory counts. Ability to anticipate shortfalls and work closely with other branches to ensure maximisation of efficiency
  • Class 5 Drivers Licence
  • Must have clean driver’s abstract, and own transportation to and from facility
  • Ability to understand, follow, and participate in the budgeting process
  • Ability to get along with peers, management, clients, sales and general staff

Duties

  • Organising tasks daily, such as deliveries/shop clean-up and organisation
  • Disciplinary actions for employees in the Aldergrove depot
  • Recognising employees for actions which exemplify our core values
  • Ensuring employees are up to date in regards to training
  • Completing inventories when required
  • Maintaining Modu-Loc fleet vehicles (to be completed with Operations Manager’s assistance)
  • Ensuring all vehicles and equipment are kept in good order and regularly inspected accordingly
  • Coordinating with Vancouver’s dispatch regarding delays and job completions
  • Organising lunchbox meetings
  • Submitting daily paperwork to Vancouver depot
