Modu-Loc Unveils New Tagline for 25th Year

This year, Modu-Loc is celebrating a quarter of a century in business. Although some Modu-Loc related business activity took place as early as 1994, we were officially registered in 1996, making 2021 our 25-year anniversary!

Modu-Loc famously began with a small quantity of old white fence, which at that time was being stored under a viaduct in Vancouver. Within a decade, we had expanded out of British Columbia. Modu-Loc now operates depots in Ontario, Quebec, and Alberta, in addition to maintaining three branches in British Columbia.

Brothers and co-founders Don and Darren Rintoul could not have predicted that their small company would grow to include franchised locations in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, a strategic partnership in Winnipeg, and a sister company in the United States. All in all, we now service 17 locations across Canada and the United States.

While the geographic footprint of the company has expanded over the last 25 years, Modu-Loc also evolved in many other ways. This small, family-run business developed into an industry-leading brand with a reputation for best-in-class service and quality products. A habit of going to near-extreme lengths to provide customer satisfaction has matured into a more sustainable service model focused on delivering safety, stability and security via tailored solutions.

This brings me to Modu-Loc’s tagline, which for many years was “Anytime. Anywhere.” This tagline captured the spirit of Modu-Loc in the early days. We were known for going above and beyond on the job, rarely refusing a request so long as it made the customer happy.

A tagline should tell people who we are and what we stand for. Understandably, after 25 years, that has evolved.

While we continue to be (and will always be) fanatically focused on providing Excellent, Reliable Service, Modu-Loc has become much more than a 24-hour response guarantee and a willingness to lend a helping hand on site.

We are innovators, constantly exploring and developing new solutions to proactively address our clients’ pain points. We are the experts, deeply experienced and continually investing in training to ensure we’re prepared to meet any challenge. We are leaders, passionate about safety and boldly carving a path towards improved standards for temporary fencing. We are also a family, committed to the safety, well-being and development of our people.

With this year being our 25-year anniversary, it felt like the right time for a change. A milestone anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on the past, reassess goals and priorities, and plan for the future. With all this in mind, we sought to develop a new tagline that would reflect the extraordinary efforts we’ve made to protect the things that are most important to us and to our stakeholders:

Securing what matters.

This might mean something different to everyone, and that’s the beauty of it. To our employees, “what matters” might be job security, work-life balance, and personal safety. To our customers, it’s their attendees, their project, and their vision for the site. And what matters to Modu-Loc is supporting our employees, customers, and partners in pursuing what matters to them.

We believe this commitment to shared success is what will see us through another quarter century of business. Thank you all for your support over the last 25 years. We look forward to helping you secure what matters for many more!
