Modu-Loc Announces 3 Year Partnership with Habitat for Humanity Canada

September 15, 2020

Family is at the heart of Modu-Loc’s culture. After all, Family & Well-being is one of our core values. But it extends far beyond a corporate code of conduct or expectation of behaviour. For our employees, who frequently refer to us as the “Modu-family” (or “Modu-fam” for short), it captures the essence of our organization.

The sense of family is present in the way our team members help and support one another. It’s readily apparent at our company functions, whether at the in-person BBQs of the past or the virtual meet-ups of the present. Now, it’s expressed in our partnership with Habitat for Humanity Canada.

Helping Families Through Affordable Homeownership

Today, we announced a new three-year partnership with Habitat Canada, consisting of a gift-in-kind donation valued at $300,000. By providing temporary fencing solutions and related products and services for Habitat-led home builds and rehabilitations, Modu-Loc will be supporting Habitat Canada’s mission of helping families build strength, stability and independence through affordable homeownership.

Chris, Modu-Loc’s EVP and COO, was the driving force behind this partnership. This is an initiative that is near and dear to Chris Muc’s heart.

“I have followed the work of Habitat for Humanity Canada for several years, and it was clear to me that there was real alignment between Modu-Loc’s core values and Habitat Canada’s mission. Though we were already working with a handful of local Habitat for Humanity organizations, I knew we could make an even greater impact if we concentrated our efforts. This partnership will allow us to do just that.”

As a leading supplier to the construction industry, Modu-Loc’s team members are acutely aware that an investment made in a community can have a far-reaching and tremendously positive impact. Homeownership is the foundation upon which Canadian families build a better future. Providing access to decent and affordable housing is an important step in ensuring the well-being and future prosperity of all Canadians, but especially low-income families.

We are excited to help strengthen and support our local communities by supporting the work of Habitat for Humanity Canada.
