The 2019 Barn Burner was a Stampedin’ Success

July 12, 2019

Modu-Loc’s 4th annual Barn Burner drew its largest attendance yet, with over 120 customers and partners coming out to our Stampede hootenanny. The Barn Burner took place at Knoxville’s Tavern in Calgary on Friday, July 5th and was in support of Threads of Life. Threads of Life is an organization that provides support to families affected by workplace tragedy, including death, injury, or occupational illness.

Guests took advantage of complimentary drinks and BBQ, and had the opportunity to play games for the chance to win prizes. These pay-to-play games, along with sales of 50/50 tickets, helped us raise over $2,300 for Threads of Life! Instant-win prizes included Bluetooth speakers, headphones, Barn Burner whiskey, and even a drone!

Larger prize packages were also available to be won, with attendees submitting raffle tickets as entries for their prizes of choice. Here are the lucky winners:

Golfer’s Day Out Prize Package (2 passes to the Shaw Charity Classic + golf swag) – Cassandra T., Rockyview Projects

Music Lover’s Prize Package (Bluetooth speaker + $250 restaurant gift card + passes to 3 music festivals) – Nancy M.

Firework it Out Prize Package (4 VIP passes to Global Fest + Fitbit Charge 3) – Mark D., Summit Fleet

Smokin’ Thunder Prize Package (2 weekend passes to Country Thunder + electric smoker) – Kenny M., EllisDon

Crow’s Nest Prize Package (2 passes to Crow’s Nest at Shaw Charity Classic + golf swag) – Chad K., ICM Group

50” 4K UHD Smart TV – Denise C., Special Event Rentals

Cider Lover’s Prize Package (One year Incider membership to Sunny Cidery + Sunny Cidery gift basket) – Rebecca W., Elevated HR

Many of the instant-win prizes and prize packages were donated by customers, suppliers and partners. We wish to thank the following organizations for their generous contributions:

We could not have raised these funds without your support! We also owe a big thank you to Rob Cote of the Calgary Construction Association. Rob was our 50/50 raffle winner, and he generously donated his winnings back to Threads of Life.

Next year’s event will be our 5th – a milestone for us. We’re looking forward to putting on a bigger, better Barn Burner in 2020!

Thank you to everyone who attended Modu-Loc’s 4th annual Barn Burner! We hope to see you again next year.
